Factor X replacement therapy is indicated for the correction of factor X deficiency.

Until recently, factor X deficiency was treated with fresh frozen plasma (FFP) or a prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC), both of which contain factor X.27 FFP as a means of a correcting a factor X deficiency is rather limited because of low and unpredictable concentrations of vitamin K-dependent factors.4-5 28 A recently developed factor X concentrate (Factor X P Behring) contains 100 – 200 IU of Factor X as well as 100 IU of factor IX (actual factor X content is included on the product label).27
